catastrophe read-a-thon tbr

From February 14th to the 28th, the Catastrophe Read-a-Thon, created by Olivia’s Catastrophe will be happening! I love the idea of this read-a-thon being centered around the TBR Catastrophe, since I have way too many books on my shelf that I still haven’t read yet!

These are the 7 reading challenges and the books I chose for them:

Read your oldest unread book – The Maze Runner by James Dashner

Read a 400+ tome – Where Rainbows End by Cecelia Ahern

Cover Buy – More Than This by Patrick Ness

So old you don’t know where it’s from – Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen

An author you know and love – Attachments by Rainbow Rowell

A new to you author – Wonder by R.J. Palacio

A hyped book – Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins

I’m quite a slow reader, so I don’t think I’ll be able to finish all of the books, but I’ll definitely try!

There are also blog and bookstagram challenges which I don’t think I’ll be able to do due to sorting out lots of university stuff, however, if you’re interested, go ahead and check them out on Olivia’s blog post here.

Good luck with this challenge! I have heard quite bad things about Anna & the French Kiss (if you watch the Youtuber LilyCReads), but all my friends have read it! I look forward to hearing your thoughts on some of these books!

Thanks, Christina! I watched LilyCReads’ video on it too! I wonder if it really is as bad as she said it was, guess I’ll see soon, haha!

Take your time and read what you can! I liked Anna and the French Kiss back when I read it. but if I reread it I’m not sure what I’d think. I am curious to hear your thoughts on it! Also, I absolutely love Wonder. It’s a brilliant book. Pride and Prejudice isn’t one for me but everyone seems to love it so I hope you do too x Thanks for joining in and happy reading x

Thanks Olivia!! I realise now that I’m incredibly awful as read-a-thons (unless I have a lot of time, like around Christmas time etc) but I’ll still be reading them all! Wonder sounds like such an amazing book :)) I have mixed feelings about Anna and the French Kiss because of the different reviews that I heard; it’s interesting thinking about a book you’ve read before and what you’d think of it now if you reread it, haha! Pride and Prejudice is a risky one because I normally don’t like classics but as you said, everyone seems to love it so maybe I’ll like it too!
